What we believe is what defines "us" as individuals and as a church.
    We could have the most beautiful building, the best sounding choir, and a pastor "to die for",
    but in the end, what matters the most to those who attend (and hopefully to those who are thinking
    about attending)1st CRC of Mount Vernon is what we believe.

What we believe:

    The Bible. Yes, that's right, The Bible is what we believe. 
    We believe that the Bible is the revelation of God's purpose given through chosen men who were 
    guided by His Spirit. Like a pair of glasses, the Bible helps us to more clearly see God and His 
    purpose for our lives.

What we do:
    Putting what we believe into action is a part of who we are.
    Attending Worship services, encouraging and nurturing each other, and reaching out in our
    community are all expressions of putting our beliefs into action. If you are looking for a place where
    you can worship and serve the Lord, it is our sincere hope that you would find us faithful to Him
    and His Word - that which truly provides the way, the truth, and the life! (John 14:6)
